Kool Artists: Chic And The Tramp

Hier hun bibliografie:
“Chic and the Tramp are two young Dj/producers coming from the Swiss alternative scene. They met on a cold night of January 2008 and since then they stick together.
End 2007, wile he was searching for food in the trash, the Tramp made a cheerful discovery. He found an old computer with a music program on it and so he started to try and play with it. Marked with a past of punk music, he had the feeling that the sounds weren’t enough aggressive, so he had to find someone ho would buy him material to continue his music.
Forced to beg in the street for months, he finally managed to meet Lawrence Bamberger an insurance broker being a part of the young bourgeoisie of Neuchâtel. Both accomplices became friends and combined to create a music style that they call themselves Electropogo.”

INTERVIEW:

Of Kurse, but not as kool as Jelmer!
For sure, it’s party music. But we really want to be liked not only when drunk. Our electro is more melodic than the other stuff. Our next songs will be even more melodic with lots of guitar solos and violins and also with different themes in one song. We also try to touch lots of styles like rap, metal, symphonic and others but one thing is sure: it will ever be hard. We want people to be able to recognize our style, but without the negative “all the songs are the same”.
It’s Chic asking for the third member of the band: MacBook
For sure, but I’ve never been in a band or stuff like that. For me, the only difference with our music, is that punk rock has intelligent lyrics, sometimes…
Well I received a good background from my parents, I also play instruments (piano and drums) since a while… Music is a need for me… could never pass a day without it…

No deal. Those guys are homies and are our friends since long time and like electro as much as we do. They are into it since a very long time. Now they organize electro parties and became pro in visuals projecting.
Bah, it’s just an intro… Yeah, maybe… but it wasn’t the goal.
We’ve been contacted by a guy who had created a “real-false black metal digital label“ with remixes.
But we failed because we choose Heavenly, a power metal band and not a black metal one. So the remix hasn’t been accepted… But it was for fun and we did it in two days, so it doesn’t matter.
We don’t really like to make “true“ remixes! We much more prefere to give a bit of power to songs that we like. So… yeah, maybe we will. We guess that the result is better. Everybody knows Roxanne for exemple. When you play it in clubs, everybody’s happy, uhm well, we hope so…

You know, we are good friends since we were ten, so it’s a pleasure for us to go to our small dirty room to make music. We almost always agree with each other while creating, so it’s easier than agreeing while being four in a band. And with electronic music, we have the ability to play with any instruments we want , so it’s ten times more interesting.
Excepted in our town, electro-pogo is unknown and there isn’t any chocolate eater that gives a shit about Chic and the Tramp! But it will change… hahaha
Maybe, to find a label or someone who wants to help us to have a best sound and get lots of gigs; and then, maybe, an album. We also really want to be able to play a one hour live.
(Chic and the Tramp -Walk Along Sorrow) Our last song in exclusivity, hahaha.
(Snob Scrilla – There You Go Again (Chic and the Tramp Remix)) It’s the first song/remix that we made. We’ve just tried to mix it better and don’t think that lots of people know it… Enjoy!
Thanks and lots of kisses! Chic and the Tramp
