“Hells” Yeah Techno!
Hells yeah! That’s what I have to say for the great news I’m proud to present to you. Paul Chambers, one of the few unknown heroes of the scene – amongst the unanimously agreeable Siriusmo, personal favourites IKKI, Andre Conde and more – has finally released his first stuff. The long awaited track “Yeah, Techno!” will see its daylight later this week with a splendid remix from Soulwax, which was to be witnessed a few months ago at Soulwaxmas in Antwerp. The Belgium artist will be known to a bigger crowd from now on, so you will definitely need to pay attention to him!
“Say Hi To Paul Chambers. For two years he has operated as an unsung hero, providing the staple support act on the Soulwax travelling circus. Now, Chambers is set for the limelight proper with this perfectly formed, razor sharp nugget of ruthless techno. This debut sounds as if Chambers has been busy sharpening his skills to a knife-edge, unleashing the kind of thrilling kick that Vitalic can produce at the top of his game.
‘Yeah Techno’ is clearly a dead cert for peak hour dance floor eruptions. Hence Erol, Boys Noize and Soulwax have all been using it as a regular secret weapon since Christmas. The latter have even been seduced by the track enough to spend time on a finely judged Soulwax remix which somehow manages to max out the dials a little further. French upstarts Beatacue have also leant support with a potent remix that illustrates why their star is clearly on the rise.”
“Yeah, Techno!” is released May the 30th on Beatport and everywhere else in digital land on the 13th of June. The vinyl is currently penciled in for a 30th May release, with 250 copies coming on limited edition delicious red vinyl with a poster. Here’s a taste of what to expect:
