Green Room has grown fast to become one of the most profounding club nights in Amsterdam. With Studio K being on of the most progressive clubs in the city, this edition promises to be one you can’t miss. Divided into two areas the resident VJ’s of Green Room (Lideborg and Aintsane) will, along with the DJ acts, create a lot of creativity and innovation. Headliner from SK3 is Hyperdub Records’ most admired Scratcha DVA. Next to him Halp, Valentijn and Green Room’s newest residents Lantei and Inuk will be performing.

In SK2 the progressive electro/techno sound will come to light as big stars Henzel & Disco Nova will be entertaining the night from the DJ booth. Also new resident duo Kristof and Cursed P will be be spinning behind the decks.

Green Room
The concept of Green Room has been inspired by club nights from the 80′s and is known for its very progressive electronic sound. Next to a lot of decoration, Green Room is a platform that exposes people to new music. There’s room for many music genres like: Glitch, Wonk, Electronica, Tectronic, Electro, Future Beat/Dub, Juke, House and many more. Green Room is a platform for new and especially progressive talent in the electronic music scene.

Studio/K is at daytime being used as a movie theater, while at night time things are turned into a club. It features a lot of visuals and interactivity and is therefore a very suitable location for Green Room.

The Kool Kids were present at day 4 of the 5 Days Off Festival, which took place last week at Amsterdam’s most famous clubs; Paradiso and Melkweg.

We attended one of the biggest nights, as French upcoming talent Madeon and Finnish top-notch underground artist Huoratron played at Paradiso. Also playing at Paradiso night were great names such as Henzel & Disco Nova, LeLe, Russ Chimes and ex-Audio Bulleys “T”.

The Kool Kids Web Shop & Agency Launch Party

It’s been three years since The Kool Kids started as a blog, writing about the latest news and updates regarding Electro music, parties and lifestyle. Since the beginning they’re trying to set up an Electro scene in The Netherlands, and now they’re taking it to the next level. From now on The Kool Kids will have the following features:

The blog will maintain it’s daily content on the latest news and updates regarding Electro music, parties and lifestyle.

The web shop will feature the latest releases on CD and vinyl, such as ZZT, Boys Noize, Spank Rock, Jan Driver, Justice and more. There will also be Kool Kids t-shirts available very soon.

The first signings to the agency are: Dutch artist Nu Rocker and Dutch duo Bazen & Helden.

HAEZER (South Africa)
HAEZER is one of the biggest artists from South Africa. Currently doing a Europe Tour, this punk-ass Electro artist has some of the greatest productions.

Henzel & Disco Nova (VAgE gASTEN)
Very known throughout The Netherlands. You might know these guys from the Electro section of 22tracks.nl, but perhaps also from their own Electro/Techno party Rara Aves in Amsterdam. Next to that these guys are part of the VAgE gASTEN collective, which has its own stages at festivals such as Mysteryland, Solar Weekend and more!

Bazen & Helden (The Kool Kids)
Bazen & Helden, part of The Kool Kids agency, are a music formation hailing from The Hague in the Netherlands. Their name translates to “Bosses & Heroes”, producing hard-as-diamond electro and techno music and obliterating genre limitations with sounds that redefine “oh my god”. Having already played in Ireland, but also known from -BLACKOUT- at VUIG.

Nu Rocker (The Kool Kids)
One half of The Kool Kids. You can definitely expect some good music at the end of the night! Starting off with some good Electro, followed by loud and true Techno, and also playing the best Dubstep beats from this moment!

It’s already been three years since the first party of Kruipend Naar Huis took place. To celebrate this great happening some of the biggest names in the Dutch DJ-scene have been brought up for this evening.
Kruipend Naar Huis has had numerous sold out events so far. It started as a small party, but now it has grown out to be on of the most successful concepts in The Hague. For this 3 year anniversary party the best in the Electro scene have been invited to play.

Henzel & Disco Nova are two acknowledged names from Amsterdam, also part of the Vage Gasten collective, are gaining a lot of attention lately with performances on Sziget (Hungary), Solar Weekend and Amsterdam Open Air. Besides DJ’ing they’re also working hard in the studio, and you might have heard their remixes of Cassius and Daft Punk during a mix somewhere.

Guerilla Speakerz are a DJ-duo from Amsterdam have already played one time on a Kruipend Naar Huis event and they’ve proven to have a solid performance. They have a Solo EP for release, they have shows from Stockholm to Paris with DJ’s such as Rusko, Diplo, Hudson Mohawke and the Gaslamp killer, so it’s pretty logical that they’re invited a second time to kill it once more.

Riptide is resident at one of Netherlands’ most famous electro concepts; Rauw. He’s producing a lot lately, having an album set for release, and having collaborations with a.o. Mike Mago, Dem Slackers and NT89. Bearing this mind it’s safe to say that he’s a good addition to the line-up for this evening.

Dan Stezo (MC), originally from the Drum & Bass scene, has hyped the rooms with Afrojack, James Blake, Noisia and Riva Starr. Next to this he’s part of Sized, a creative collective from The Hague.

Boehmer is one of the organizers of this event, who as a DJ made mixtapes for Vage Gasten and Fresh Cotton.

Billy Burki is, together with Boehmer, the man behind the screens when it comes to the organization of Kruipend Naar Huis. He’s shared the stage with names like Dem Slackers, Guerilla Speakerz and Henzel & Disco Nova (Vage Gasten).

Kevin Bradley is one of the best DJ’s in The Hague. His style varies enormously and he’s set up a solid reputation in The Hague for years. At the moment he’s busy with gaining more attention throughout Netherlands and you might have seen him on Mysteryland, Heineken Music Hall or even New York City.

Our friends Henzel & Disco Nova (also known as Vage Gasten) are breaking through, and now they’ve started their own club night called Rara Aves. On friday the 27th of May Henzel & Disco Nova organize the first edition
of their new concept. This night will be held in the Melkweg Amsterdam and is focused on techno oriented electro music. And they sure have a great line-up in store for you, for which you can win tickets!
