Given that both artists have been pushing the boundaries of dance music in their respective careers to much critical and some commercial (remember Flat Eric?) acclaim, this new venture is a dream collaboration for devout electro-heads. Celebrated for the innovation in his eclectic remixes and heavy production style, Boys Noize has been clearing up awards in recent years – whilst since his initial mainstream exposure in 1999 Mr Oizo has shied away from the spotlight, courting a more niche audience with his experimentation in music and film with the Ed Banger crew.

Together their sound is extremely driven and high-octane as heard in their first track ‘Callgurls’, which premiered at the end of 2011. Here we premiere a mini-mix of their forthcoming EP before the release on Boysnoize Records out 6th February.

The Kool Kids Web Shop & Agency Launch Party

It’s been three years since The Kool Kids started as a blog, writing about the latest news and updates regarding Electro music, parties and lifestyle. Since the beginning they’re trying to set up an Electro scene in The Netherlands, and now they’re taking it to the next level. From now on The Kool Kids will have the following features:

The blog will maintain it’s daily content on the latest news and updates regarding Electro music, parties and lifestyle.
- Web Shop
The web shop will feature the latest releases on CD and vinyl, such as ZZT, Boys Noize, Spank Rock, Jan Driver, Justice and more. There will also be Kool Kids t-shirts available very soon.
- Agency
The first signings to the agency are: Dutch artist Nu Rocker and Dutch duo Bazen & Helden.

HAEZER (South Africa)
HAEZER is one of the biggest artists from South Africa. Currently doing a Europe Tour, this punk-ass Electro artist has some of the greatest productions.

Henzel & Disco Nova (VAgE gASTEN)
Very known throughout The Netherlands. You might know these guys from the Electro section of 22tracks.nl, but perhaps also from their own Electro/Techno party Rara Aves in Amsterdam. Next to that these guys are part of the VAgE gASTEN collective, which has its own stages at festivals such as Mysteryland, Solar Weekend and more!

Bazen & Helden (The Kool Kids)
Bazen & Helden, part of The Kool Kids agency, are a music formation hailing from The Hague in the Netherlands. Their name translates to “Bosses & Heroes”, producing hard-as-diamond electro and techno music and obliterating genre limitations with sounds that redefine “oh my god”. Having already played in Ireland, but also known from -BLACKOUT- at VUIG.

Nu Rocker (The Kool Kids)
One half of The Kool Kids. You can definitely expect some good music at the end of the night! Starting off with some good Electro, followed by loud and true Techno, and also playing the best Dubstep beats from this moment!

On Saturday November 5th it’s time for the fifth edition of the Jägerland Tour 2011. This time the event will take place in Simplon, Groningen. You can expect some grimy electro sounds by LOGO, the fat sounds from Tom Trago and some pounding music by Cinnaman. Of course the tickets will be available for free, but only attainable through a subscription via jagerland.nl.

The tickets will be available for free, but only attainable through a subscription via jagerland.nl, for people of age 21 and older. The tickets will be drawn among all the people that subscribed.

Location: Simplon, Groningen.
Simplon is one of the best venues in Groningen. In 2010 it even got nominated for “best venue of The Netherlands”. Simplon is known for its solid sound quality and the two concert rooms offer a great place for young creatives and musical talents. The Groningen version of Jägerland will take place in the big room, which is a dark, raw basement and an ideal place for this party.

LOGO
Logo features two young French lads, who are signed at the quality label from France, Kistuné. The duo is really fond of grimmy basslines, mixed with their keyboards, guitar rifs and synthesizers, which entails their sound on Kitsuné. Last year they already did a live set at the Jägerland party, but now it’s their turn to proof that great live set once again in Groningen!

TOM TRAGO
Tom Trago is a good guy from Amsterdam, who is involved in the newest kinds of Electronics for about 10 years now. He’s resident at many different parties, has made some fat remixes and he makes people happy all around the world.

CINNAMAN
DJ Cinnaman used to be called DJ Kaneelstok, because he barely had a sweet tooth, but he only liked cinnamon sticks from “De Natuurwinkel”. Now he mixes some great music at parties like Colors and Viral Radio.

JAY-P
Jay-P is a DJ who knows his people in far-away Groningen, because he plays there very often. He mixes disco punt, French house, hiphop, electro, dubstep and his own hard edits which make you don’t want to return home any more.

Next week’s Thursday October the 6th Troppo Casino will have its first event in Den Bosch. The event is organized by new label owner DJ Cursed P. The name of the party is a reference to a security guy of a camping in Italy where Cursed P stayed during his holiday. Apparently it means something like total chaos and that’s exactly the night that Cursed P has in mind. It’s a mixture of style, but on a danceable level. Compare it with his record label Little Globe Records. Call it versatility, a musical journey or simply an antipathy against the same shit you hear over and over. That’s right! We said it…

Thus, a very good party October 6th at P79 in Den Bosch. Line-up will consist of:

Nu Rocker, who you might know from The Kool Kids, which means it’s one of us. Well, as you’re visiting The Kool Kids and you like the stuff we do, it’s almost certain that you’ll like what you hear from him! Expect some pounding Techno and of course a whole lotta raw Electro.
Bram van Helden, also known from the event Nachtlampen in southern Netherlands. Expect some Electro/Dubstep from this one.
And of course Cursed P himself, with all the above mentioned about him.

Last but not least VJ Me And My Lawyer will be visually entertaining you during this night. The entry is free and of course it’s a standard procedure to drink a lot of booze during these kind of parties!
